Day 2 Arrive at Hong Kong
New Years Eve. Our representative will meet and greet you at the airport, and escort you to the hotel. Balance of the day is free at leisure.
Day 3 Hong Kong B,
In Chinese tradition, people are washing away the dirt at home and finish their shopping list for the New Year to come on Feb. 14. We’ll take you to Ladies market to see locals rush to finish their last minutes shopping for new clothes, and also the fresh food market to have a glimpse of how local people prepare for the family union feast. You will also visit the famed Flower Fair, a must-visit place for locals to pick their lucky flowers for the New Year.
Day 4 Hong Kong B,
Kung Hei Fat Choi! Today is the 1st day of the lunar Chinese New Year, people will greet each other with “Kung Hei Fat Choi”- “wish you a prosperous year.” The sounds of Fire Crackers and Lion Dance Music will wake the city. In the morning, you are free to explore the city on your own. In the afternoon, we’ll have an orientation tour of Hong Kong where we will visit the Victoria Peak for a stunning view of the harbor. We then travel to the Repulse Bay and conclude the tour at Aberdeen fishing village for a detour of sampan, the water taxi, to take us to the crisscrossed waterway to have a glance of how fishermen spend the New Year. Return to hotel to freshen up and prepare for the International Chinese New Year Parade. We’ve secured seats for you to watch the parade in the speculator stand. Enjoy the International performances and dazzling floats from local participants as well as overseas troupes.
Day 5 Hong Kong B,
Hoi Nin. On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. Business people of the Cantonese dialect group will hold a 'Hoi Nin' prayer to start their business on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. They will pray to blessed with good luck and prosperity in their business for the year. You are free at leisure during the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the spectacular Firework Display at waterfront.
Day 6 Hong Kong B,L,
Chi Kou Traditionally people will stay at home on the third and fourth day as it is considered not appropriate to visit relatives and friends on these two days. However, it might be your lucky day to get your fortune at our racing track. We’ll attend the Horse-racing as the locals do.
Day 7 Farewell Hong Kong B,
Today we will have say good-bye to Hong Kong. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. ~~~ Kung Hei Fat Choi - Happy Chinese New Year! ~~~~
